Molokai Church of the Nazarene is located on the hill adjacent to Coconut Grove on Church Row just outside of Kaunakakai.
The church’s building was constructed by our previous pastor, Mike Raines, in 2001. Our weekly worship service takes place on Sunday evenings. Throughout the week our ministry nights serve children, youth, men, and women.

Meet our Pastoral staff:
Pastor Ryan was raised in the Upcountry Maui area. He served in the U.S. Navy after he graduated from Maui High School and later returned to his island home after living in southern California for a few years. Upon returning home, he became a journeyman carpenter. A gifted musician, he plays a variety of instruments but picks up his ‘ukulele most often. He served as the Young Adult Leader at Pukalani Nazarene before becoming the co-lead pastor of the Molokai church. Pastor Ryan utilizes his skills, gifts, and experiences to serve in leading worship and Men’s Bible Study while co-leading the Young Adult Group and Co-Ed Bible Study.

Pastor Pua (Kekaula) Kaneali’i was born and raised in southern California and raised her family in Maui. She spent her young adult life obtaining her degree in Social Science and working in the non-profit sector. While pastoring at Molokai Naz, she graduated with a Master’s degree in Religion and Pastoral Counseling to better serve the congregation. Before answering the call to Molokai, Pua served as the Youth Pastor at Pukalani Nazarene. Pastor Pua leads Keiki Church and Youth Group while co-leading the Young Adult group and Co-Ed Bible Study.
Pastor Jamie (Grubert) Kalama grew up in Colorado and Texas but has been pastoring in Hawai’i for over ten years. She completed a Bachelor’s degree in Urban Ministries (Religion, sociology, and psychology) and a Master’s in Education. Pastor Jamie served as an associate pastor on O’ahu and Maui before answering the call to Molokai. Jamie is active in keiki ministry, youth group, and monthly women’s gatherings and occasionally helps with leading worship, in addition to being a preacher. When preaching, Jamie uses interactive methods and opportunities for involvement for the congregation. Pastor Jamie’s husband, Pastor Hau’oli Kalama will be joining the Molokai Naz pastoral staff this Advent season!
